Life is short, so here's a bit about us in brief:
Sadie writes the plays. Sarah directs them. We are both in them, and sometimes we ask other people to be in them too.
Since we founded Old Trunk three years ago, we have:
Gained wonderful patrons in Jenny Eclair, Deborah Frances-White, and Phill Jupitus.
Been awarded Arts Council funding three times, most recently for the research and development of Pramkicker.
Been invited to perform Pramkicker at the Marlborough Theatre, Brighton, Latitude Festival 2015, and Assembly for Edinburgh Fringe 2015.
Have presented a scratch performance of play-in-development, ‘Blazed’, at Pulse Festival 2015.
Appeared at the Storytellers Club at Latitude 2014.
Were selected for the prestigious Escalator East To Edinburgh scheme in 2014.
Performed two plays to critical acclaim - ‘The Bastard Children of Remington Steele’ & ‘The Secret Wives of Andy Williams’ - at the Camden Fringe, the Leicester Square theatre, and at Underbelly Edinburgh 2014.
Been mentored by the wonderful arts organisation Metal Southend and Anthony Roberts of Colchester Arts Centre.
Curated the Old Trunk theatre tent for Metal's Village Green Festival 2013.
Represented the Arts at the House of Commons.
Appeared in The Sunday Times Magazine as a company "making waves".
Run the successful storytelling night Tales & Ales, showcasing new work by acclaimed authors, scriptwriters, poets, and performers.
Toured ‘Lady Bones’ round the UK with Arts on the Road.
